Fresh Start

Update January 2018

The charity chosen by the WATCH Committee for 2017 is the Clowndoctors project which is part of the Hearts and Minds charity (SC027040). We agreed to fully fund the specialised training of two Clowndoctors at a cost of £4,000 and any additional funds raised to go to the church project Building for the Future which is featured elsewhere on this website.

During July and August the summer coin collection raised the marvellous sum of £864.04. The Craft Coffee Morning held on Saturday 7th October was well supported by the congregation and friends raising £840.00.

The Christmas Fair took place on 2nd December (opening during a local power failure) and raised the sum of £6,369. The Fair was particularly well supported by our local businesses and attracted over 300 people through the doors on a cold Saturday afternoon. We were delighted to have the support of Clowndoctors Dr Fizz and Dr Crumble at the Fair who added a lot of fun on the day.

We presented our donation to the Clowndoctors during the service on 14th January 2018.
